EXPEDITION XVII MOROCCO: IN SEARCH OF THE LAMMERGEIER
AN ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME. For the first time ever, members of the general public are invited to participate in this 11-day expedition.
Since 2002, under the auspices of the conservation group IBERUS MEDIOAMBIENTE, a group of experts in the fields of ornithology, biology, geography and cartography, have been brought together ( not that they needed much encouraging! ) with the prime objective of seeking out optimum habitats in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco for this remarkable species- Lammergeier (Gypaetus Barbatus).
This will be the seventeenth expedition to Morocco, expertly guided by people with vast experience and intimate knowledge of the natural world in these truly exotic lands. A route which traces the magnificent Atlas Mountains, skirts The Sahara Desert and takes in the extraordinary city of Marrakech, combining scientific enquiry and the joy of travelling through this unique part of the World.
